FIT Travel Scholarships

Two Opportunities

We are excited to offer travel scholarship opportunities to support two Fellows in Training to attend the ACC Legislative Conference to be held October 15-17, 2023 in Washington DC.

This conference provides an opportunity to gain a first-hand perspective on the legislative issues that impact cardiovascular professionals and patients and includes a visit to Capitol Hill to confer with area Members of Congress. Two FITs will be selected from those applying. Each recipient will receive a $2,000 scholarship.

The conference begins on Sunday, October 15th in the evening with the Heart PAC Dinner. Education/Training/Advocacy Talking Point sessions are held on Monday, October 16th. We will have our congressional visits on Tuesday, October 17th. So that you can attend as many Hill visits as possible, you are asked to schedule your return trip home late in the day on Tuesday. Registration will open June 6th.

If you are interested, please submit your CV and a letter of support from your Program Director to our Chapter Executive, Beth Quick-Andrews at ksacc@qabs.com. The deadline for submission is August 15, 2023.
